Hand Made With Love.

Piujulia is a beautiful name and my company Piujulia is named after my late grandmother Martha Michael's cousin Piujulia, who when she would come visit our home, she would bring  calm warmth with her presence and energy. Every time Piujulia would come over my grandmother's face would light up with joy. Lighting candles and qulliit and getting together to support one another brings our community strength and light in dark times. Piujulia Uummatnniit was brought to life by those who inspire me to do this work.

Our Mission

At Piujulia Uummatnniit, we cherish and celebrate our Inuit culture through a range of community-focused activities and quality products. Lighting the way forward for the future leaders. It is we as a society that need to start to come together and find creative and innovative ways to reinvest back into the children and youth in poverty in our communities. Piujulia Uummatnniit will dedicate a percentage of all profits from each product back into the local economy by financially supporting services,  programs and non-profit organizations that are currently holding safe spaces to help facilitate learning and healthy growth for children youth and their families that help them to navigate systems. I also want to help you sell your products on this website! Once we have the means I want people to actualize social enterprise ideas into reality by one day offering navigation support on how I got my business plan into action and direct donations to Not for profits organizations. We as an over spending, money run capitalistic society, we need to lead the way for creating and holding spaces that facilitate intergenerational connection and wealth building opportunities for all and for the future generations to come.

This is my way of giving back to the community that cared for me when I was a Homeless child and helped provide the life preserving support that I needed at my most vulnerable. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the community members that took me under their wing and helped lighting a path way forward during my darkest of days. Thank you for stopping by our ever evolving website.

Updates, inventory re-stock and good news coming soon! Hope to see you again, and take care.
